heard wat the govt said abt the rise in HIV? they blame it on annual party in Sentosa..omg..these pp in white, should have think thru their head b4 blaming on other aspect...so irresponsible of them just to chuck in on other pp...y dun they blame it on themselves for lack of enforcement on sex education?
Personally i m not against the govt
, but sometimes, they make decision that is controversial...

A while ago, some group wanted to distribute ads encouraging people including gays to use condoms.
Then some prudes started to complain about the distribution of indecent materials....
You know, i think those prudes actually helped contribute to the HIV problem. -
Of the sexually active male population the majority are heterosexual, only a small proportion are gays (maybe 3%? 5%?...) but gays account for 33% of HIV cases which is disproportionally high! It means more gays are engaging in unprotected sex.
During the past few years the only new factor that could have contributed to this is the annual gay party which was allowed since 2001.
So it was only logical to suspect the gay parties to be the cause. -
there are many causes :
the parties are just one source.
the illegal pros/mistresses
the batam/viet/china/thai trips for sex
the causual sex and multiple partners
But then the ppl in white got to solve one issue at a time
However, in my opinion, I really hope that the virus that killed that american in 3 months ... perhaps its reach asia shores and just wipe out our troubles.
And the number is unreported as many people will never come clean about their sexual diseases while some will become crazy and go on a spreading spree.
Hey since the Aids positive folks are gonna die, I wonder if they ever consider donating their bodies to science and use their bodies to test SARs, Bird flu and etc. At least do something good for humanity than to spread and kill more. -
if society discriminate against them they will hate society and spread the virus on purpose.

The many factors contribute to the increase in HIV cases but the Gay Parties is the one linked to gays.
The question is:
Why one-third (33%) of the cases are gays when they form only a small group.
I don't think we discriminate against them but they must be more responsible. -
gays contribute alot to rise of HIV cases in singapore...some even after aware of himself being infected still goes around poking others....this is how far things can get....

Can't help it if gays take the party as a chance for finding sex partners. The government can stop the party, but those activists would look for another source anyway.
