To wear more conservative inner when wearing minis or ultra mini is the right thing to do. You should not feel good if others get to see your wife's naked buns. Your wife will not feel comfortable throughout the outing if she is consious about her naked buns being seen by others.

I think they sit higher up the waist and are not low enough.
Except for Elle Macphersons ones that cost a bomb. Those are the only ones that sit low.
