  I think materialistic maybe by their environment and the life they live in. Not everyone is born in a family where all you need to do is open your mouth and food is fed. They struggle their life to make a living naturally they look at life more realistically and practical than other girls who are just plain idealistic. Not everyone get to enjoy life taking things for granted. Living in a volatile environment makes you feel wealth seems to be the only security. Nothing wrong with having a gf like that.

  I don't find dating women who worked in this so called "undesirable" jobs would cheapen you. It's not like they're robbing or killing people for money. For a lot of them I guess, it's a way of survival.
