Beware of passerby asking for cash

Beware... do not give cash to passerbys
Hi, recently met a case here are the details:
One guy and one woman, well dressed, not local..2
will be at HDB estates stop passerby to ask money
will tell that they are visting relatives but got no
hotel to stay. tell u to help them
at first it might seemed that they are asking for directions
but in the end the guy keep shaking your hand to 'break the ice'
in the end ask you for $20.. and will ask you to leave contact and tomorrow they will send u gifts as a gratitude of returns
After rejection they settle for $10!!
I smiled and said no.. can't help..
Things to ponder...
1) They are not carrying luggages at all.
This means that they have not checked out of the hotel (if they are living in one.. If they really don't have money, they will have check out of the hotel
and carrying heavy luggages already
2) Not place to stay??
They had just said they visit relatives, if they have not place to stay
why not stay at relatives' place?
Beware my friends.
Just reject them.. report them? not proof!
dun argue or tell their loopholes or they become smarter! -

anyway since the topic is already started, might as well be open-minded abt it..
I had a similar experience.. was in my car waiting at a car park when this chinese lady from china (from her accent) approached me and started asking for money.. saying something like she came from china to look for her business partner then now no money no nothing.. ask for a few bucks to take transport and meals...
same thing.. no luggage no anything.. would anyone do that at all bring so little money or sacrifice watevery she has to come over here? just felt bizzare abt the whole thing.. -

it was raining just now.. it makes the story very sympatheic..
i wanted to help.. but they asked $ so its a no-no..

once this lady in NUS, sitting at Kent ridge bus stop, was asking money from me..she was saying she needs money to see doctor for her back. she had v bad posture, cant stand up straight...
i said, no money...then she went on rattling jus now got a young lady who was so kind hearted to give her a 50 dollar note, but she rejected cos she was worried that she might need e money for textbooks..
then trying hard again, asked for 2 dollars, so tat she can have lunch...though was contemplating to do so, i walked away anyway...she had losta one dollar coins in her hands... -
yeah . Why can't they consult the police instead of asking $$ from us ? Anyway, police staion is everywhere .

If anyone of yours encounter it happen again around you, call 999 or your Neighbourhood police immediately, this cases being report in newspaper before and those cone people should be sentence to jail by law.

Ask them show their ID, offer to bring them to police station to look for help as the SPF is realli helpful bunch of people.

got dis same aunty asked me fer marnee 3 times... at the same place... ard the same time...
said she lost her wallet, no marnee go hm. den nit quite alot... coz nit to change bus, change mrt or wat lah.
1st time, i belif her... bt i din hab much cash wif me... so i digged out eberitin fer her...
2nd time... i recognised her... but i was so tired frm werk... so i juz diam diam n gav her the marnee...
3rd time... i told her dun hab.
fark. cheat ppl oso no make the effort to recognise face. -

i've seen this kinda case in malasia , there was one old man filled with fracture dressing a crutch limping towards me , he ask to give him RM 50 amd not eaten for few day , i rejected but keep beggin me , so i pity him and when i about to give him a RM50 bill , the police came running after us , the old man suddenly drop him crutch amd run away

there are plenty of such people around.

The one i kena is this woman outside Pacific Plaza claiming from malaysia and she cannot find job, then family back in malaysia in some trouble.... etc etc
then she ask for money so that she can eat and sustain herself....
very inconsistent story lah. haha.
another i kena is this guy who stopped me saying he is out of S$ and he say he is willing to exchange with me malaysian riggit for S$ at rate of 1 is to 1. then he say sorry that he needs the cash urgently as he needs to make some calls home.
i am not stupid. -
yah...anyway, if its a chio young gal or yan tao guy, i will give lah...then maybe get their hp.

Jz be more alert and be careful... don't walk in dark areas and always get some company...
