Think it's quite alright for that, there's already bikini bra available in the market from Triumph and Wacoal..

no, the material for bras and bikini is different.
most bra has metal(or something hard) at the bottom to support the breast, pushing in up, to make them more firm. Most bikinis dont have that.
most bikinis are made of more elastic material than those for making bras, for the reason that when u swin or play some sports on the beach/pool side, the bikini will stick to your breast, to reduce the change of showing your nipple to others. For bras, the bottom part is tightly stick to the breast, but the top part is not. -

Most material used in bras and bikini today are Spandex and Lycra. Another common material used would be the good-old cotton. As for Spandex and Lycra, they are more elastic and body-fitting. At the same time, they are also known as breathing material that allow air to flow through the fibres.
It's wrong to say that only bras would fall forward and bikinis don't. Actually it's all about choosing the correct size and fit, and me have actually seen lots of ladies wearing wrong sizes and fits...

bras are design for comfort..so if ladies wear them underneath their clothings will be comfy wif it. since the basic function of bra is to hold the bre ast...and for modesty's sake women may hav to wear it for a while especially when they have to work, socialize etc.
bikini are made of a tougher and different material so that the whole piece of clothing wear will not give way or show "too much" when coming in contact with water.
you use bikini top as bra... and vice versa..only if you can accept it psychologically. -
A bikini can be substituted for a bra. Especially in bed.
