THREE robbers in Malaysia did more than just help themselves to their victims' belongings.
They also outraged their modesty.
On Wednesday evening, a 30-year-old factory worker was robbed in her flat in Paya Terubong in Penang, reported The New Straits Times.
She had just returned home from work and was about to open the door when a man came from behind and covered her head with cloth.
He then held a knife to her neck, pushed her into the flat, gagged her and tied her to the bed.
The robber undressed and groped the helpless woman.
He then snapped nude pictures of her before helping himself to RM8,000
($3,500) worth of jewellery.
Before escaping, the robber then warned her that he would distribute the photos if she called the police.
After some time, the victim freed herself and made a police report.
WOMAN RAPED IN SABAH
Another victim in Sabah fared worse - she had to endure an hour of agony.
The 26-year-old Chinese national, who is married to a Sabah native, was kidnapped and raped by two burglars in her Kota Kinabalu home on Wednesday.
At about 4.30am that day, she was rudely awakened by the two men, who carried knives.
They had entered her home through a rear window.
The intruders forced the woman, who was alone at the time, out of the room and blindfolded her, police chief ACP Shah Gzali Khan told The Star.
The burglars then ransacked the house before herding the woman into her car and driving to a building.
There, they took turns to rape her. She was blindfolded.
The two men then dropped her off near her housing estate before fleeing in her car at 5.30am.
In her police report, the woman said the men escaped with her car, two watches, a VCD player, diamond ring and handphone, among other valuables.
The suspects are believed to be foreigners in their late 20s and 30s, said ACP Shah Gzali.
