Jailed for oral sex with girl, 7
A MAN who made a seven-year-old girl perform oral sex on him was jailed for five years yesterday.
The 23-year-old cargo handler admitted to having unnatural sex with the victim at his flat some time in February last year.
His wife was the girl's babysitter and had looked after her since she was three years old. The girl's mother usually dropped her at the babysitter's flat in the morning and picked her up in the evening.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Stella Tan Wei Ling said that whenever the babysitter had to go out, she would leave the child in the care of the accused.
During one such time in February last year, the accused asked the victim to follow him into a room.
He told her to sit on the edge of the bed, then took a towel and wrapped it around her eyes.
He told her he would be giving her some sweets to suck and that she should 'not bite it'. The girl did this for about 15 minutes.
It was only in November that the crime was uncovered.
The victim and her mother had just watched a missing children's programme on television when the mother told her to be careful.
The girl, now eight, then related the incident to her mother, who made a police report two days later.
The accused, whose wife recently gave birth to their third child, said he knew he had done wrong and hoped the victim's family could forgive him.
