Who wants to be a doctor?

  hello fellow podders...
  
  wanna know if anyone got similar experience when going to GPs... i got into a rather awkward and embarrassing situation that for awhile i felt quite violated.. though i don't really want to pursue it..
  
  here's what happened...
  
  when i applied for my student visa for overseas studies they require me to go embassy approved GPs, which happened to be all male. I really did not put much thoughts to it as i thought it will be mostly questions answers, xray, blood and urine.
  
  after the xray blood and urine, i finally went to the GP. he just asked me about where i am studying and if i got family medical history. So i replied him and he asked me to lie down on the examination table... pretty much standard.
  
  So on the table he asked me to pull my blouse up, which i did to the ribs and he start prodding and listening to my stomach. then next asked me to lower my jeans a little, which i must undo since its a hipster.. exposing my panties.. then he prodded around and pointed to my panties asking me to lower it slightly.
  
  that's where things started being awkward for me.... so my panties are at the hip level and my "hair" is already peeping out. he pressed down the hip area hard enough that the depression would exposed my "hair' as the panties are taut already. think you all can picture it.
  
  he asked me then to button up the jeans and next asked me to pull my blouse up again, which i did pull up just 2-3 inches higher exposing lower half of my cups.
  
  he just shook his head and say, "no, pull your shirt to your neck". So i did, now exposing my bra completely. then he simply use a pen and pointed to my bra, "you need to pull that up too"
  
  i was in shock!! i totally did not expect this to happen!!!! i am like talking to myself mentally, "what the hell is happening?"
  
  however, i just pull up my bra in totally awkwardness and simply closed my eyes.... the next few seconds felt like centuries to me as he felt around my breasts. felt disgusted
  
  after everything, he just told me, everything seems ok and good luck for your studies. signed the documents and i left...
  
  Well, for him, it is almost everyday that he does this to the girls that go to him for checkups. but where's the sensitivity for me? he never briefed me what's happen or told me what to expect. just asked me to lie down and give me instructions...
  
  as a man, he might just feel awkward to say such things but he is a doctor for goodness sake.. where's the "bedside" manners.
  
  for me, i was flustered for few days.... but i got over it. I did try to pursue it but nothing much i can do as he did what he needed to do and nothing more.
  
  to me, it's just an experience taht sometimes haunts me.... now i guess i will at least ask what's going to happen to me before a checkup starts.
  
  any of you experience similar situations???? like pre-employment checkups or university checkups.
  
  what's NUS and NTU's practice anyway?? they check boobs too?

  ME,ME,ME....I want to be a doctor. Regret never study hard for biology during sec days...

  as a matter of fact, women are much more horny (hornier) than men. just that they're adept at hiding that undisputed fact.

  well i thought to perform those checks a male doctor definitely requires a female nurse to be there when he does the checking to protect the patient from any stunts, if not the doctor will kena 1X jialat jialat?

  Sure he's got no customer service but look at the shortage of doctors nowadays. He's probably hard pressed for time to conduct the full examination for everyone that the embassy sends to his clinic.

  As far as i know there is never a compulsory requirement for a female nurse to be present if a male doctor has to perform intimate examination.
  
  But i guess the thread writer is just too young (considering she is applying for visa) so she haven't experience what a check up should be.
  
  anyway... funny thing is that embassy don't bother to like appoint a female doctor for their visa applications.
  
  Anyway, don't big employers here do the same thing too? SIA, etc etc

  Well, he didn't pull your clothes or do anything odd. But indeed for such cases, most doctors would have a female nurse present in case someone might cry foul even though nothing happened.

  at the very least i dont think checkin of the boobs is part of the check up isnt it ?

  Actually he's checking for any deformities of the chest, like pectus excavatum, etc...

  last time i requested a female doc for my gf, the missy told me need to pay $60. nbcb..

  got one time i went to the poly doc, kena female doc woohoo... but that time i had food poisoning...so she needed to take some sort sample from my ass.... wah lau tell you.... after leaving the room, felt like my ass got violently violated, but at the same time glad that i'm not gay
