where does pain in childbirth come from?

  just wondering if anyone who's experienced it can answer...
  
  is it the contracting uterus?
  
  or the sensation of the birth canal being stretched?
  
  or something?
  
  or everything?

  Childbirth pain originates from stretching of the cervix, vagina, and surrounding tissues as baby passes through.

  try passing a watermelon out ur butt and then you wouldnt ask such stupid question. look at soze of a baby and then at penis and figure how much bigger one is than the other and then realise how much the woman has to stretch to get a baby out.

  An epidural can be used to alleviate the pain.
