got pple say after puberty den muz go check...
some say after u had sex experience...
some say after u gave birth...
heard it's kind of pain n ex... but is a need...
main thing is WHEN to go for that PAP smear? -

Pap smears are used primarily to detect cancer of the uterine cervix or precancerous conditions - abnormalities of the cervix that may lead to cancer. What FireIce said is correct...actually if you are a sexually active person, best to start pap smear when you are in your early twenties..pap smear should be done once a year to detect cervical cancer (touch wood!) if you have it in the early stages so you can be cured. Anyway prevention is better than cure
