Here are my suggestions:
i) Make it odourless. Or maybe give it a nice minty smell?
ii) Make it so that there arent so many hairs, and that they dont fall out and stick between your teeth.
iii) Make it less "slimy". This could be done by replacing the current lubricant with a dry lubricant (any suggestions for type?).
iv) Make it not so close to the a$$, so can't get mixed up between the two. This could be done by lifting the a$$ a few inches. Alternatively the CB could be moved elsewhere - the face for instance.

efficiency is a very broad sense.
