Pilot and WSO (Fighter) as a career - What do U think?

Any guys from the Airforce, preferably a pilot or WSO (Ftr) to enlighten on this matter? Interested in this field as a long-term career. However, understand that the selection criteria is very high!
So, is there any kind soul out there who is able to assist in this aspect! Feel free to air your views ...

i'm not a regular, not in airforce, so don't take my word for it, but heard that the food is best in airforce
compared to army and navy lah
also heard that if fighter pilot eject from the seat, the G-force will shorten the spinal column such that you can never fly again -
Pilot better cuz after you get out can go SIA....if you WSO it's harder i think cuz you dont fly as much

Pilot or WSO both is as good depending which way u see it la, but WSO are always considered inferior.... coz mostly pilot trainees who kena "chopped" during their airgading phrase dun wan to revert to go cheong as infantryman will re-sign up as WSO fighters, and oso selection will b done by a pilot selections board where commander of FTS ( Flying Training School ) & other QFIs will interview & assess u lo, Well.... i hope this helped ettitus, good luckOriginally posted by ettitus:Any guys from the Airforce, preferably a pilot or WSO (Ftr) to enlighten on this matter? I heard from some of mi colleauges dat theres a certain ejection manourvue u have to do in order not to get injure ur spine -

pilots are among the fittest, healthiest guys on the island, as only the best are selected. should be easy getting gals -
Being the pilot definately beats flying as WSO!! You are in control of your plane in the air. You are in the face of action. Well, I'm not sure if you guys are mistaken with WSO (Fighter) as compared to normal WSO!?!? In most cases, WSO (Fighter) are considered the co-pilot with the pilot when in operation. The WSO (Fighter) is suppose to be in control of the weapon in some of the most sophisticated fighter plane, whereas the pilot are mainly and purely in charge of flying the plane i.e. driver. I think WSO has a total of 5 specialisation ranging from Fighter, Navigation, Air Defence Arty, Command, Control and Communication and there's one more ... forgot liao! What's airgrading like? What's the rate of passing and failing? Heard pple saying that airgrading is the toughest part of the selection. Once over this phase, chances of selected and been trained will be much much higher ...Originally posted by s|nNeD:u are definitely wrong my fren...
