What is a gf/bf to you?

I dunno about you guys, but for me, if i go after someone, its probably someone i've known for quite some time, someone i wanna get to know at a more intimate level for the purpose of bringing our relationship to the next level. She would be someone i feel that i'd like to spend the rest of my life together with. When a girl becomes my gf, she's someone i hope to marry.
From what i see lar, seems that this not the case anymore? Ppl get attached after knowing each other for less than a week, break off after a couple of days... some get attached juz for the fun of it. Some do it juz for the sex that (hopefully) comes with it. Others even dun intend to ever get attached nor married, juz wanna have flings and satisfy their wants... How about you guys/girls? What is a relationship to you? -
I totally agree with you... I don't get into relationships just for the hell of it. My b/f has ro be someone I can love and be commited and vice versa. He has to be someone I can talk to about anything coz I feel communication is really important. every r/s shd be treated seriously regardless of wat...if u ever wanna get involved in a r/s, please bear in mind dat if u'r not commited, pls dun do so...it will end up hurting the person who doesn't share the same feeling as....the other party could be very serious abt the whole thing...certain things can be fool ard but definitely not r/s....dun ever commit such a mistake....please....

A GF/BF is only a companion... & it can mean MANY things in DIFFERENT waes... some get juz for da sake of getting, some to try out, some to cover up loneliness, etc, etc...
So if U have no intention of settling down... BF/GF is fine... BUT if U intend to tie da knot, U dun GET a GF/BF... U get some1 who noes U well as U noes him/her... can click... never REALLY get tired of each other & most of all... WILLING to PUT yr future together wif her/him...
So... to me, there's a BIG diff btwn BF/GF & soul mate... hope U ppl can understand wat I trying to sae & do tink abt it... dun ANYHOW get a GF/BF juz for fun... U have to consider ALL factors from "How deep is our love" to "can we spend our lives together"...

a bf to mi, is sum1 who we share all happiness and sadness together.... sum1 who show all his love and care to mi at most time.
Example, no $$ we try not to go out, juz stay at his or mine hse and watch VCD and pei yand relation....
got $$ then we try to go window shop or rather spend abit on sum good food....
of coz i wont wan a bf who ask for sex everydae coz i noe guys need it every now and then.... i dunnoe why la.... -

Hmm... I just feel that it depends on both parties. Eg. my fren actually viewed his relationship with his gf to the stage of marriage..hmm.. kind of long term planning liao since they both ard 22. Guess wat? It scares her off cos she never took the same view as what most of us are looking from. So in the end, they broke up...

I guess Gf is someone who in ur eyes is e most lovely princess in ur heart and that you wanna to take care of her 4ever. And that would protect her from getting hurt and sad.. Always there for her when she is down...

First of all i would just call her my gf i would call her my love girlfriend is just too superficial
My love is someone whom i can love ,some1 whom i love but cannot i would wish the best for her ,i must really forget of a person who i love to fall for another otherwise it would not be fair for the my love if she loves me wholely
She would be some1 when is unhappy i will be sad and put all of my power to help her if she is in trouble however must be rational in the ways i help not over trival matters
When she is happy i will make her happier just to make sure her life is has llittle woes and pain
