some ppl prefer not to use artificial contraception but choose instead to have sex only at the times in the menstrual cycle when a woman is least likely to become pregnant. this means avoiding intercourse for about 4 or 5 days before and after ovulation (see below). but since its impossible to know in advance precisly when ovulation will take place, these so-called 'safe' periods are not totally safe, only slightly less risky than other times of the month.
day 1 - 5: menstruation ('safe' days)
day 6 - 9: 'safe' days
day 10 - 14: unsafe days
day 15: ovulation
day 16 - 20: unsafe days
day 21 - 28: 'safe days' -

different girls got different lengths... also, stress, diet, etc can make her periods go irregular... be safe not sorry... -

period is hard to predict when will come sometimes. Emotional upsets and stuffs might affect one. quite safe since period just left rite.

this is the most unreliable method. i think condoms or contraceptive pills will be better.

'safe day' is usually after the period is 'going to back normal' (b4 it left totally).... trust me liao... i often did it with my hubby on 'safe days'..Originally posted by dookie:there is no such thing as 'safe days'
