Rape & Molest in the Train (Japan or elsewhere)

  Why so often do we hear stories in the papers talking about rape or molest or even both occuring in the train - MTR, LRT or etc all around Asia - whether in Japan or elsewhere.
  
  I have a female friend who just came back from Japan, she was "molested" in the train by males passengers. She was one of the lucky one. Her colleague was raped in the train in Japan on her way back home from work.
  
  So why all these "molest" or sometimes "rape" occurs in the trains?

  to me japan has always been a country with high sex rates. maybe its cuz' their porns are so popular with people all around... rite?
