in the situation mentioned by duke, we can view it in 2 ways:
1) he got guts, act big talk big infront of a gal with a bunch of ah bengs backing her up
2) he is plain dumb cos he is inviting trouble by behaving in an ungentlemanly manner
i as well as many others in bar including u belong to the second group
i am not lecturing u on virtues here cos i know u understand it well enuff
u seem to be a reasonable enough person (note tat i din say adult) to understand wat i mean when i say "gentlemanly conduct",
