  the quotes i give refers to STARTING SALARIES, not the full pay scale lah..
  
  architects i heard starting about 2500
  pilots -- starting salary depend on your rank pay + flight allowance which apparently can come up to quite a fair amount. Usu 2 bar first LTA about 2600 rank pay.. the rest i dont know liao.

  Not true. The starting pay of a doc in public hospital during the 3 years bond period is about 3k. And they work like shit! Only after this they can neg. their salary.
