Have not been to many local hotels lah... But I think Oriental Hotel is not bad..? But service a bit err...

I have stayed in a couple of local hotels with girlfrends.... Here is how I rate them. I didn't consider the price of the room, jus the overall service and facilities:
Shangri-la
Westin Stamford (now Swisotel something)
Pan Pacific
Marina Maindarin
Merchant Court
Marriott (spelling)
Robertson Quay Hotel (near boat quay) -
wanna try ritz carlton some day

i like Swissotel (formerly known as Westin).. the view facing the esplanade is splendid..

Ritz Carlton is probably the best hotel ard in Singapore

in future there gonna be a few Singapore's most luxirious hotel.. came out in the paper.. but don't bother to read about it.. no time mah

Fullerton Hotel
I think Fullerton or One Fullerton is very expensive right? But the service provided should be first class... -
i have worked in The Ritz Carlton b4 and they service is excellent..
dats all i have to say about htis place as its currently the only hotel which is rated 6 star. -
wah. all the hotels u all mentioned r damned ex leh. sleep one nite machiam burn money like joss papers.

Why not? I believe you have not been reading the papers often enough. They had a feature on couples who checked into such hotels to have their own little time with each other. These couples are the ones who have the fathers and mothers or in-laws staying with them.
