COEs to be scrapped in April?

Not really sure abt that, but probably resale values of cars will fall....vehicles will be scrapped after 10 yrs cause no COE to renew.

whahaahha! u r wrong man! then there will be no 10 year limit to look at when u buy used cars! look at england. u can buy cars for as little as $2000 sing. y? becos they can use a car longer than 10 years, no COE to limit the amt of time a car can be used. so as long as a car is in good condition, it can be sold n bought. Not scrapped. yes the car may be old...but still can bring u from pt A to pt B so for some students there, its a very cheap form of personal transport
in singapore...few hundred dollars not even enuff to buy the steering wheel ah!!! -

But still cars in Sg is still expensive consider the import tax to be 130% onwards of the car value

seriously i dont mind seeing more traffic jam.
percentage of increase is not high either, those who can afford a car already afforded one.
those who cant now will have difficulty maintaining the car.
our car can go cheaper.
imagine u seeing all the ferrari,s lambo or porsche around our street like those benz or bimmer u r seeing now.
imagine all the boy racer change their hot drive to more evo, sti or even porsche gt3 rather than civic.
sg road is improving...with the paya lebar expressway coming out, i believe there will be no more jams in future, unless some bugs create a accident and hold 2 lanes.
anyone to confirm about the COE?
