Singapore Soccer Team full of racism

Its time the government and the FAS does something about the soccer condition in Singapore if it evers want to see Singapore qualifying for more competitions. I hafta admit the malays are a talented lot when it comes to soccer, im a malay myself. But ain't the soccer field in Singapore overrun by malays? Its time the chinese and indians do something. Every time something goes damn wrong in a match, they blame in on the malays when they themselves don't wanna get involved.The governement should impose a quota or something like they do it on HDB flats. If Singapore stays idle, then we can change our 'Goal 2010' to 'Sea Games Soccer 2010'.

reasons are pretty simple....
i am a chinese, with alot of talented soccer friends....
here are some of the reasons:
1) parents feel that one cant earn a living playing soccer in singapore, plus the time span for the occupation is short....
2) when my friends go for selections, more often or not, its those malays who know the other malay players who are already in the team, gets selected....
3) most chinese who can study, will study, then blindly go into the working world related to wat they studied....

when it comes to soccer, teams are ususally divided racially. its not that the chinese dun haf talent, but its dat the malays play more often, thus making the society think that malays are better at soccer. -

hahaha last time, whenever i play soccer with my friends..its always Malays vs Chinese.. even though i half malay, i joined chinese side and easily, we won

I'm a malay myself and frankly, I dont have many malay soccer kakis....I always play wif my chinese pals and their chinese pals also...And from what i have experienced so far, I can say that chinese soccer players are very talented and some even play better than the malays....But pity these players don't have major exposure.....

Not just in Singapore, it's a worldwide phenomena.
Why don't you just rant that there are many blacks in the EPL soccer, NBA basketball and American football.
Does it diminish your viewing pleasure of the game if the player is white, black or yellow ? -
Im not trying to spark a major brawl, but when I come to think of it a more multi-racial Soccer Team wil really produce some results that all Singaporean shall be proud of one fine day.

There are many factors to make a good soccer team. Are there many malays in football, yes. Are there good chinese footballer in Singapore, yes.
Why are there very little chinese footballer in the national team ? I don't have the answer. But why are the majority of the waterpolo team chinese ?
What about sepaktakraw, malay. Basketball, table tennis, chinese. -

I do played soccer last time and I must say though talented the chinese may be but i suppose the malays have juz got a bit more flair than us.
But then again soccer is a team game, no point blind pointing which race is at fault k
Also if u really do stand by your point of "Malay shouldering the blame" theory, then whos to say about our water polo team? I will bett if our water polo team sucks it big time fingers will not hesitate to swayed at the chinese -
I'm a chinese.. You malays should be proud that the soccer team consist of many malays. If they had the quota then it would be denying those who are really talented and dedicated. And also it is racist to say that we blame the soccer team just because it consist malays. It is because the soccer team doesn't perform. If the team loses, do you expect us to praise them because they are malay?If they win of course ppl would say wah the malays in singapore are talented in soccer.

No worries bros, just don't like the half measured argument that the national football team is only for malays. It's a game for everybody to enjoy and be part of the team if they are GTG to play.
Anyway, Singapore football is "worldpeace".

there's a difference most malays and most chinese in terms of soccer.. most malays are better individuals.. most chinese are better team players.. i notice one thing about the coach or scouts.. most of them only judge a player in a single match or a single selection session.. and it's normally those who can impress get selected.. so what do the guys do.. they take the ball and run all the way.. so how can a team player impress this way?? how can a player with good positioning sense.. good fitness.. good basic skills impress?? this is what i have seen in years.. it's always happening.. and btw.. i only say most ar.. i never say all.. there are still malays who can be good team player and chinese who can be skillful players..

No worries bro... relak lah. The FAS will definitely do something abt it.. Like importing players from other countries, if u wan chinese? There's always our favourite mainland China. The table tennis & badminton team has done that. I'm sure they'll read your post & come up with something real soon. Or maybe, we should get a good quality coach for the National Team. Think there's where the issue lies.
