  ofcourse not... the food there is great... except abit on the expensive side... if you feel xian at night also got program to do/watch....
  
  but not a place to raise a family.

  I like the centralised location of Geylang.
  
  Though it will be a problem if I have young women or kids living together.It will be very awkard for them.

  last time i got a friend she lived there...she quite chiobu type too...
  
  Then many times, men would approach her to ask how much and she would quickly walk away...till she no choice but to find a guy or in a group to walk her home everyday after school.

  Good food? I think I'll lose all my appetite at the sight of the Geylang scene, especially at night.
  
  It's S-L-E-A-Z-Y.
  
  All the cheekopeks and foreign/local hostesses hang out there. The budget hotels have become a nest for sexual activities. It's gross.
  
  I wouldn't want such people walking around my residential area.
  
  Luckily for my area it's not so bad YET.
  
  The government should relocate such red-light districts to some ulu part of Singapore, like localize them all together on Pulau something...

  I dont mind. Lots of food and it's near to town. Night may be dangerous wif all types of people there though.

  yes I DO. Just imagine, your wife or GF dressed for a special occassion night out will get stares from the guys there.
  There may be a lot of cheap freehold home in Geyland, it is really not worth it.
  It is just too dangerous, what happen if one of those guys got drunk and horny? a pretty lady walks and got molested or rape, ooops sorry... I am drunk.
