do we need more political awareness in singapore

there are mainly 2 kinds of singaporean
those who are for PAP and those against PAP
most however, do not really have any idea why they are for or against the ruling party.
singaporeans are just too apathetic as to who is running our country. or worse, they just tend to disagree with all policies for the sake of disagreement.
how can we promote greater political awareness? and no, i do not mean more irrational bashing but a greater appreciation of the politics in singapore and how it would have a direct impact in our lives. constructive comments please. -

i think perhaps its the way of our educatio, results oriented, must study then got future, dun ask too much questions, just follow and do. then most pple become heck care.
those so call social studies also take up a veryyy small portion in sch only, and the so call test results are not important grades for the students. and the students study and got free time do their entertainment stuff, nobody is interested in reading newspapers.
sometimes we agree, sometimes disagree, but its seems our opinions does not matter, in the end the govt will decide everything and we just follow.
so perhaps most pple cannot be bothered. maybe if instil these political awareness into the education when the kids are young, will be better.
