The "people" at red-light districts...

Red-light districts as in, Geylang or Joo Chiat and the like.
Just curious... What do they do, really? Do we really have prostitution along those streets?
Or is it just KTV hostesses?
I dun wanna discriminate any innocent peeps.

erm... i was thinking... if they are ktv hostess, they will be INSIDE the ktv instead of walking ard the roads, dun u reckon??
but then again, its all for livelihood ba... guess no one will willingly become a pro one lor... -
went geylang for supper with my bf a few times...
at certain lorongs, there are a number of "freelancers".... they are selling sex but dun belong to any KTV or anything like that... and they hang around certain streetcorners... a couple or 3 women together.. some are singular parties... usually foreigners .... and the men would gather on the other side of the road walk up and down like evaluating product like that....
then when i walked past with my bf, i get strange looks... -

i met a FL Chinese gal from China, She was from Westlake or something. She is so called studying in Singapore; learning english but actually she a pro trying making the most of the time here in Singapore.
To earn enough money to built a house for the family as they are very poor farmer. She is determined to make money so that her family has a better life back home.I think she quite a brave girl but i guess it a sad story to sell yourself
