Eye contact.. how much is too much?

When you talk to someone do you
1) Look at the blanks around his/ her face
2) Look straight into him/her eyes for a while, look away and look again
3) Look straight into him/her eyes for the whole conversation
4) Look at his/ her hair
5) Look at his/her body
6) Don't look; close your eyes.
For me, if im talking to a guy (same sex) i will usually choose 2. I feel more comfortable that way else it feels very gay if i stare straight all the way. But if i talk to girls, i dont really mind staring straight into her eyes all the way depending on how close i am with her(erm not referring to distance.. but in terms of relationship). But usually when i talk to strangers, i will look at the blanks around his/ her face unless she has big and irresisitable eyes. -
i will look at him/her as it is a form of manner, but i do not dare to look at a person's eye directly for long regardless of male/female..

erm, but will take a few glance at their eyes at times... sometime the eyes can tell a million words... -
ya.. i will sometimes have that kinda shy shy feeling... feel weird though.. its like i dont want the other party to misunderstand.. but i also dun wan to make myself look very unconfident and erm.. stupid.. so sometimes i will stare at something else or do other things when i talk to them.

Eyes looking at certain part of the body could indicate certain signals. Beware.
