pep smear test for ladies??

  hi gals, just need some advise, how much does an ordinary pep smear test cost?? any advice or recommendations?? heard that is best gals go for this test regularly if they have a sex life. anyone of you gals got experience or advice?? thanks

  i think 20 bucks is those cheapskate type of pap smear test. The doc will use a scrapper to insert into ur vagina to scrape some discharge out for analysis. I paid mine for 90 bucks from a gynae. She used a automated 'gun' lookalike stuff. But also need to insert in lah...but not so painful. If u scared of pain, apply some KY jelly b4 tat lor!

  Well, unless u R sexually active, then u go for a pap smear... say once yrly or once every 2 yrs...
  
  U can go to any poly clinic to do a Pap smear... But then the wait is quite long coz u need to wait for an appointment... And coz mayb by the time ur appointment come, ur mens is here...
  
  Usually people call up to fix appointment at the poly clinic... They need to know ur mens dates, so the nurse will cal n give u a date of appointment...
  
  Think it cost $15 or $60 or wat at poly clinic... Forget liao...
  
  Private GP all tis, should be much more ex... Think includes consultation fees, etc... bout $ 60 -150 depends where u go...
  
  It will be done by a doctor... They jus insert some long thingy into the vagina to take a swap... The results will go back to the Clinic...
  
  I heard tat it is not painful la... Jus slight uncomfortness...
  
  If u R a virgrin, then no need to do... Coz wait break the hymen... N they don recommend it at all coz serve no purpose...
  
  Up to u which u prefer... U choose polyclinic, is cheaper but more inconvient...
  
  Private more convi, but very much more exp...

  Pap smear should be done every 2 years to check for cervical cancer, also good to check if u have bad cramps or irregular menstration. Cheaper if u go poly clinic. Pte gp shd be abt $80 incl. scanning yr womb
