Hi,Recently i met my ex-Indian colleague @ Bedok and as usual we greet each other. When i ask him where he intend to go,He said i'm going to Tam Pines(Yes,Pine>Pinetree)not the common Tampeenees.I was quite shocked when i heard it but i sak him again where're you from?He said HooGang(The gang in English slang)not Hougang!I try to emphasized to him that it is pronouced Tampines & Hougang but he insisted it should be his ways of pronounced. At last to make matter worse,He said that most Singaporeans speaks or pronounce bad English with the lah,Meh,Mah and many singlish words.

He even tell me that most of his Malays and Chinese friends speaks bad English compared to Indians(From Indian,Not locals). He also told me that he's quite surprised by some Singaporeans spaeking in that manners as SG is quite a First world in Asia!I'm not biased nor anti-Indian ppl,But the way he speaks out to me i feel that he is insulting SG ppl in his ways.Arguing or scolding him does not makes any good to me.By the way he is a Degree holders working in a private company @ Bedok Reservoir
