There was a fresh new DJ in WKRZ who hosted Sunday show, on this first day. He asked people to call in and describe in detail their sex life, ONS and such. One dumb girl called in thinking she's sexy and made some rather unthinkable noise when asked and told the whole of singapore how cheap she is. hahahaha!
I think radio is public access medium. There is a line to draw when it comes to what is said over this medium that has no control or filter. That guy was immediately fired. If we were to liberalised as to what some members suggests, such as to follow the "wonderful" west, then shouldn't we get full porn on TV and uncensored movies everywhere as well. But are we all ready for that kind of liberalization or are there things that is considered low class.
I think all these radio stations are losing their edge and is just using sex to sell their air time. There is a joking and cheeky kind of jokes and things you can talk about and not offend people and kids can also listen. There is also the kind where you can tell with a bunch of close friends but will never say to new acquaintances. Everyone's limits is different but at least play on the safer side. I am sure lots of guys would love it when strange men approach their daughters/sisters/gf and ask them about the color of their panties. Unless he's a gay, and is going to compare panty color, such question is rather stupid to ask. To such a question and the girl would answer:
You want to wear it on your head ah!!!!
And Heikel could have said, to approach a girl, do what Singaporean Does best: Ask the Obvious!
