So you mean the right way to dispose of any country flag is to throw it down the rubbish chute? You also propably get caught and worse, fined. There is not many ways to displose of the country's flag and I think burning is one of the respectful ways in that people will not pick it up and use it as rag or make it into clothes to sell in india, china or somewhere. So do you like to see him reuse the flag as mop or dish cloth or pick up the cat litter? Actually, I think that's just being respectful to his country.

Burning is not the right way of respecting a flag....it's a way to show demise, rebellious...remember in the early 90s, i think we hanged one of the maids from indonesia or something, the indonesians burned our state flag in front of the singapore embassy over there.
I don't really know the right way to dispose the flag, but i do know that RC's and CC's will collect back old flags. I think they do 1-1 exchange for that. -
