Why is is that when you make a gesture(wave) to girls(that you know, of course) meaning Hello when you meet her, not many will wave back? They just smile and only reply sometimes.

it depends on how well u know them... if pretty close then most probably i will pat him at his back and say hi. true true... most of the time i'd juz smile back (as long as the distance, the person can see lahz). enough liaoz mahz. maybe holding on to things so can't lift arm......

haha shockingly i experiencing stuff the other way round.
my classmate in sec school for 4years see me in poly oso bo chup.
most of time is i hi them den they smile or hi back.
but my poly frenz those i noe in poly de la, the gals most of time is they hi to me instead of me hi to them.bcos me shy ma...n most of the gals i not close with de. some even purposely come tap my shoulder n hi to me. got 1 peer tutor met her 3 times nia. from behind walk until infront of me den raised her hand to me n said hello.i so stunned. hah -

I believe what you mean is, why is it that girls do not show the same HYPE of being happy to see you when you are HYPE over being happy to see them, right? IS that wot u are asking?
Well in most cases, we guys are not the type of some girls. And i suppose when most girls do that to guys, the guys don't find these girls to be their type and thus don't show much enthusiasm also. WHICH IS WHY i wanna CLONE myself! So i can be lOVed by myself and i can wave to myself everyDAY! -
