Appeal for Eye Witness!

Dear all forumites,
I would like to appeal for eye-witnesses for a hit-and-run traffic accident involving my grandfather, Thong Youn San, 73 years old. He was riding his motorcycle along CTE, towards the direction of Ang Mo Kio on Sunday (19/09/04) morning at around 5.10am. He was hit near the Moulmein exit, the stretch of the expressway should be near Jalan Bahagia. He was travelling on the extreme left lane when he was hit from the back by a speeding car, suspected to be driven by a drunk driver. My grandfather was thrown from his bike and rolled several metres on the tarmac. He is currently in a serious condition at Tan Tock Seng hospital with many broken bones and bruises on his face. The driver who hit him did not even stop to see, but just sped away. Luckily for other road users who called the ambulance and police, is he able to make it to the hospital. However, my grandfather did not manage to see anything as he was knocked unconscious immediately, but has since regained consciousness.
I would like to appeal to you if you had seen the accident or know of anyone who was involved in any accidents this Sunday morning at around 5.10am. It would be better if the person involved confesses now rather than have the police round him up, it would be a double charge as hit-and-run accidents are equittable to homicide. This case has been referred to the police and they are in the process of investigating.

my grandfather already 73 yrs old liao.. if wan to recover will take at least a yr more even more loh... kaoz.. anyway he's on his way to ang mo kio for some RC activities this morning ma.. he's very active in those senior citizens activities one... now he still lying in hospital.. morning went to visit him.. the police say when dey arrived at the scene, my grandfather's face and his shirt are bloodied.. but luckily he regained conscious liao.. but keep complaining pain.. pls help! thanks!

wondering now how is he going to endure the pain thru out the night... last time i broke my leg nia, hospitalised already whole night cannot sleep.. now he suffers frm so many injuries.. somemore 73 yrs old.. dulanz ah! hope the culprit will be caught soon and sent to jail!

just wondering since this post is up..... just how many people would have the guts to admit it??? i mean when u hit a motorcycle in the late night and u think that no one sees it, would u actually go down to check on it or just run off??? i know saying is easy and know that moral is important, but who you really admit it straight away???? for me, i think i will really think twice.

Sad to hear that. May God bless Uncle Thong with speedy recovery. If the driver is reading this now (provided he knows how to read), please think(if he knows how to think) if your deeds are good/bad. If you do not admit it(that's bad), at least some nameless contributions to Uncle Thong. Don't you feel guilty driving around in a car that had knocked down someone!? But if you think that you are in no wrong, I hereby wish you GOODLUCK in your coming years of driving. -
