A Love Poem in The Bar!
Unthinkable!
But she always knew I hang out at The Bar
and I'm hoping she reads this and thinks of me....
So.. here goes...
I Hope the hardcore take a moment to read it.....
I loved her and mistakenly left her for lust
It was a big, big mistake. One of the many in my life for which I am paying
I sometimes wish this mistake could be erased and rewritten
She was the nicest person I have ever met and in my quiet moments I still think of her and how much my heart longs for her, how much I miss her and how much better my life would be with her in itÂ…
I grew to know her so well, the way she thinks, her hopes and ambitions
And I left her
So IÂ’m writing this for her
And hoping with all my heart she finds what she wants

Will you save me from the dark
Will you hold my hand and lead me to the light
Be my companion for life
Be my strength when I am weak
Be there for me when I am lonely and no oneÂ’s out
When IÂ’m insecure and am not sure of the route
I am a practical person, schooling and life has thought me
That life is but an empty vase devoid of roses
Will you at least try
Are you willing to try to fill the vase
Not for me but for us
For the us you and I want
For without a us
There is no healing of the daily wounds that life inflicts
I cannot fight the battle alone
I was not designed to do that
I fear you will not
For many have left to fight their own battles
Not knowing that a pair is harder to break than a single stick
But I hope and pray you are the one

I am a practical person and schooling has thought me -
