I took a Comfort (auto) taxi today from CBD to Sgoon. instead of exiting AMK Ave 1 from CTE, he continued straight. I asked him where he's heading to and he replied exit AMK Ave 3. and then he travelled straight down the underpass below YCK Rd! I asked him whether he knew I was going to Sgoon Central and he said yes. and i asked him where is Sgoon central and he pointed Hougang direction! then i corrected him and directed him via Upp Sgoon Rd to return to Sgoon Ctrl. I ended up paying $4 more for a typical journey.
when i reached the destination, the meter was $14.60. i gave him $15 and he said sorry and returned me $4 instead due to his mistake which i rejected. i told him to give me a 40cents change would suffice as he needed to earn a living despite making a mistake. he tried to return more change to me repeatedly but i refused. finally he said thank you to me and gave me my 40cents change.
Being gracious not only brightens the driver's day, and also mine!

For Toyota Wish, the starting fare is $2.70, for Honda Airwave, Toyota Corolla Axio and Fielder, the starting fare is $2.50.
For all Prime Taxis, the meter goes by 10 cents, however, I think the city surcharge and peak period surcharge have gone up. -
