After some long wait , taxi fare finaaly , speculating going up , up , up !
Not the flag down fare of $2.40 , don't worry !
But the adjustment of peak hr surcharge is enuf to kill you !
This is just a speculation , unofficial yet .
Diesel very expensive , time to :"move on" !
Morning hours Peak hour will be adjusted , price remain at $1.00 , but a change in timing , maybe to 7.00am from 7.30am
And to 10am , instead of 9.30am .
Maybe there's a City charge $1.00 city charge from 7.30am - 10am inside the CBD !
This is not finish !
The "killing" will be emphasis more inside the CBD after office hour .
Peak hour might just start at 4.30pm , before that it's 5pm til 7.59pm !
Than there'll be an extension surcharge from 9pm - 10.30pm .
Reason for that adjustment is to protect the benefit of night shift relief driver . To encourage them to pick passenger in orchard area at night .
To give them a extra perks , and reason to come into Orchard area .
Current system not encouraging enough to make them come down to town .
Disadvantage : Those customer at outside CBD , eg , Tekka , Orchard Tower , Far East plaza , Sim Lim area , they might have some problems getting a cab at this surcharging period , 'cos surcharge doesn't apply outside CBD , meaning cabby not interest , why interested ? $1.00 extra inside CBD area !

Next time, they will start inplementing road tax for bicycle riders. -

Oh yes , ComfortDelgro said there will be no raise in flag down fare this yr , but they did hinted that there'll be some adjustment in the surcharges . This is precisely what i am talking about .
Believe it or not . No fire if there's no smoke .
Simple reason , Comfort fleet has too much demand for taxi-bookings , if they do not adjust the surcharges to encourage us to go down to support the demand , the booking service is just like money going down into the drain .
They have been losing booking businesses due to insufficient support from cabby during demanding time .
They have to do something to take back the business lost . -

i take cab everyday, i got a truckload of complaints i can make
so many times i can complain until i can't be bothered
i good fren with the call centre operators liao......one morning i can call them 5 times and they rebook for me......and no cab come still!!! -
