General Information of Singapore Taxis
Total overall Fleet : 20,407
All are fitted with meters;
All are airconditioned; About 90% of taxis have radiophones;
Call booking is done via GPS or digital voice despatch
Daily trips : about 588,632 -
As you can see, there are currently 5 taxi operators, namely ComfortDelgro, SMRT Taxis, SMART Automobiles, Union Energy and Premier Taxis.
SMART Automobiles, Union Energy and Premier Taxis are the taxi industry's 3 newest and youngest players.
ComfortDelgro operates Comfort, Yellow Top Cab, Citycab, Presido, Souverign, STTA, Maxi Cab.
SMRT operates SMRT Taxis, Prestige, London Cabs.
SMART Automobiles operates SMART cabs.
Union Energy operates Transcab.
Premier Taxis operates Silvercab. -

may i kow whats the diff between the Mark 1 and 2 of the Crown? and btw the cedric have a older model rite? coz i saw one diff cedric that the headlights were upside down instead of the normal one seen here...and it look old and bulky.....
and is the (something) morris still used here.....my uncle told me that last time got this 1000cc Diesel Taxi on the road...now have anot? -

yeah. hes correct.. the Skodas are operated by SMART aka the Green coloured taxis. SMART also has the bi-fuel merc cab as mentioned in the newspaper report.
Silvercab is the one who has the new silver coloured mercedes. -
