FARE INCREASE FOR TAXIS

Do you guys think there will be a fare increase for taxis cos recently there are rumors from taxi drivers that Taxi operators are planning a fare increase for taxis.

My taxi-meter has been re-programme two days ago , meaning there'll be an adjustment any day from now .
It's inevitable , the day must come .
Cabbies like me can't go on absorbing the diesel hike , someone has to pay for the hike , definitely not me .
The fare increase not scary one la .
@2.40 , the flag down remains !
Rumour only ah ....... current every 200 meter 10 cents rate will re-adjust to 185 meter for 10 cents .
Evening $1 Peak hour will re-adjust to 4 pm - 8pm instead of 5pm - 8pm .
Peak hour for morning to re-adjust to 7am til 10 am , from 7.30 am to 9.30am .
An extra $1 peak hour from 9 pm to 10.30pm still under consideration .
Boycott taxi lor , if expensive !

imagine sitting 8-10 hours in a taxi with hardly any movement and no one to talk with.

Not really la ..... in fact , due to the change of my vehicle "on-call-machine" , my income increase a bit la , not much la , one day $30+ dollar . I use to earn $10 , now i earn $40 !
The machine , we call M.D.T , or Message Display Terminal , was upgraded to the latest technology , integrated with GPRS tech , with Microsoft CE Net software . And also integrated with Singapore Map , created by Geo Millenium Technolgy !
It's ten times faster , efficient , accurate and reliable .
I suffer ? Not much la , Comfort drivers particularly , never suffers much from income problem , the only dis-comfort , Diesel took off about $10 from our daily income , as in $300 a month , but the lost was replace by 3 extra bookings . -

Most driver do take care of themself , kia-si ma !
Most driver do take good care of their diet .
Some driver does bother to do a bit of running . Me for one , played badminton @ CCK Stadium for 3 hours for 2 days a week .
Some really go urine for almost every three customer . This is important .
Drivers sleep really well . Force to sleep well . '
Drivers only problem , alot of them smokes .
Other than that , for the sake of family , they take care of their health in particular .
But occupation hazard ma , health sure got cock-up a bit , but taking good care minimised the risk . -
