Well...Do you have any pics? BTW..Wat is the red colour Cabs are?Originally posted by SGEMP:As for Hong Kong taxis, they are ran by individual enterpureneurs and are divided by districts namely Outlying islands(where the airport is) (light blue), City (red), new territories (green).
However no taxis are allowed into discovery bay, near the HK disneyland.
Speeding and overcharging especially due to long distance are very common there.
The above one was obviously taken in Perth. What about the second one?Originally posted by LazerLordz:
Ford Falcon taxi, usually LPG.
As for the Penang one, the Airport taxi scheme is too expensive, so we took a taxi secretly from the departure hall back then to the Snake Temple, not far from the airport.Originally posted by 105090:yeap! JB Senai Airport has specialised taxis solely for Airport transfers activity, unlike Singapore ones which they can go practically anywhere for fares. Those white taxis for the Airport are probably ran by another company.
In Penang, the airport (Banyan Lepas), they also have this similar airport taxi scheme. However, fares are dependant on location. My ride was RM28 from the airport to a location 3km away from KOMTAR.
However, to go to the airport, you can take the normal public taxis.. Like this, malaysian cabbies has to work harder for fares, since the airport is usually have good fares...
Singapore cabbies some how is luckier that they can pick fares from airport
Which ever way u use to get to Malaysia by land transport, everyone has to stop at 2 immigration points.Originally posted by TIB529A:How much is the taxi fare from Toa Payoh to Senai Airport? (I would like to go to Senai Airport to take Airasia to some other places in Malaysia or mybe Thailand.
Originally posted by 105090:I went there today. I took 966 to Woodlands and bus all the way to Kota Raya ll. Indeed, there were many taxis there. My family went shopping till rather late at night and there were still taxis there. We took a cab back to Singapore at $45. We plan to go senai during december.
As for the taxi fare, local cabs does not fetch you to Senai, but will only bring you to Kota Raya. Fare is about [b]$40, and you have to book a cab as not all taxis can enter Malaysia. At kota raya, there are local (JB) taxis who will bring you to Senai for RM40.
On the other hand, the Senai Airport Express Shuttle cost RM8 per person (one way). Fare had increased
Therefore, i proposed you may want to take a taxi to Woodlands, then take a bus across the Causeway, and at Kota Raya, take a taxi to Senai

Since you stayed at Woodlands, you tend to be a bit disadvantaged because of the close proximity to Johor.Originally posted by TIB529A:I went there today.
