Taxis waiting for people

Have anyone realised..more taxi companies are launched means more taxis. waiting time for taxi is now shorter than last time. Taxi drivers are now more alert for passenger while last time is the other way round. Taxi drivers even stop when people are trying to cross the roads even though they are crossing the roads.
Have you all encounter taxis stopping infront of you even though you are crossing the roads or waiting for people. Opinions please. -
rubbish. i still find it hard to wait for taxis outside my camp.
and outside my house -
most of the time, im waiting for taxis........

Some People if they are in the hurry or emergency , they will call a taxi

i dont take taxis.

Amazing.. even now, with more than 15,000 active taxis, ppl will always swear that they will never be able to flag down one at peak hours.
And the famous point that many cabbies like to hide somewhere hoping for bookings ($).
Taxis wait for people, very true nowadays.. look at the long cabby queues with no people queuing at many places. Many cabs, fewer passengers.. cabbies are working harder..
Anyway, big fish are fried usually at City, Shenton Way, Festive areas such as chinatown, Changi Airport, Private housing estates. Some drivers dont like to go to heartland MRT stations as the trips are usually a short one..
And not to forget, LRT, buses, Night Buses, express buses are slowly taking over what was seen as a taxi-dominance sectors like the airport..
Once saw a cab u-turn to pick up a customer opposite, but at the traffic light, another cab turns out and got the customer, the cabby angry and horned the rival cab.. -

$4.00 booking fee
$1.00 peak hr charge
$1.00 city area charge
butt put on the seat nia oredi $8.40
that day p hol eve.....kns....$1 holiday charge
haben move in inch oredi $9.40 on the meter......... -
Yesterday went shopping with my family. Waited 30mins for a damn cab. Time onli 1040pm. And they all goes hiding. But once I make a phone booking, they appear immediately.

I can just stand along the road, especially at night, and a taxi stops for me! I have to wave him away..

Aiyah,taxi sometimes quite worth it.ESp when u share e cabfare wif 2or 3 ppl.more cheap den nite rider sia.

somemore i got tua twice ok!
stood at the taxi stand for 1.5hrs.....calling and calling.....got cab liao then no show....then call and call and call.....then get another can liao then still no show.......supra dulanz -

many times i saw cab drivers cannot find the customers when the customer was at another side of the building
did you tried standing by the road and waving $50? -

If i be u..i would rather take a bus or MRT.
I wonder how u can wait till 90mins which is very long. very tiring leh -
the place where i was waiting is very famous one
cannot go wrong one
if taxi driver can't find me can call my hp mah
but no calls come leh
and i call back the call centre they oso canot locat the driver.... -

My house there the main road have lots of taxis one
But rarely would difficult get one
Early morning have a lot too
As many taxi drivers makan at that coffee shop
which opens 4 am in the morning -
