Taxi Drivers taking longer routes

I think most of the people who always take taxis will have encounter this.What will you do if you know that the taxi driver had taken the longer route after you had alighted from the taxi?

at most take down the vehicle no. maybe call and complain bah./.. -

i dont think so...some taxi drivers just act blur and said dumb thing....
i met a few and they are just su#ks

I haven't met any taxi drivers like that yet.. maybe it's because I rarely take taxis or I am just so cute and innocent and they can't bear to cheat my money..or they just think I'm poor.

Hey, i hav experience b4, when i realised the taxi driver turned right instead of gg straight which directly leads to my home. Then i quickly asked him why, he's abit paiseh and got an U-turn and din make me pay the extras. I take a trip which was supposed to be $2.40 ( 1 bus stop in a heavy rain). The Citycab driver (Toyota Crown Mk2) purposely take a big round (and pretend went wrong way) till the fare $3.10. I nearly complain but no time. But that was long ago(most angered about). cant remember name but rego maybe can).

Experienced twice liao.
Once, on a TRANSCAB (as expected). Board at Kranji MRT Stn exit, going to Yishun Central. Cabby used this route:
Kranji MRT/ Woodlands Rd > Turf Club Ave > SLE > Mandai Rd > Woodlands Rd > opp Kranji MRT > Woodlands Ave 3 > Woodlands ave ?? > Gambas Ave > Sembawang Rd > Yishun Ave 5 > Yishun Ave 2.
Then i asked this malay cabby where is he going.. he got the cheek to reply:"Thats why.. i also dont know"
By the time reached opp Kranji, meter already $6+. Lucky not i paying
2nd instance was this Chinese NEw Year 2nd day. Called advance booking for cab from Seletar Rd to Changi Airport.
Shortest Route: Seletar Rd > Jalan Kayu > TPE > PIE > ECP > CGA
This comfort cabby got another idea: Seletar Rd > Yio Chu Kang Rd > Hougang Ave 2 > Hougang Ave 3 > Tampines Rd > TPE > PIE > ECP > CGA.
In the end when he was about to turn right, i asked him why he didnt go straight towards jln kayu.. he said: "Oh, want to go there ah?" then he proceeded.

talk about taking longer routes,i once met a driver that doesn't know the way and didn't ask!
the fares to there cost roughly $8 max but when i reach,the fares hit $12.20 and he was so kind to give me a 20 cents discount.
on the way he still can tell me nevermind later he will deduct some extra fares for me,but i give him an answer that shut him up......

i took a taxi from Geylang to CCK Nth 5. The shortest way was ....... > PIE> BKE> KJE> CCK Dr > CCK Nth 5
Cabby took ...............PIE > Upp Bt Timah Rd > WDL Rd > KJE >CCK Dr > CCK Nth 5. then the fare was $18...wah lao
Then another incident happen this January 2005
A TRANSCAB...i wanted to go to Sembawang Shopping Ctr....
Cabby took ..... CCK Dr > KJE > WDL Rd > Turf Club Ave > SLE > WDL Ave 12 > Gambas Ave > Sembawang Rd
The shortest way was CCK Dr > KJE > BKE > SLE > Mandai Ave > Sembawang Rd -
