Book taxi but never appeared

Any one had this experience, when you booked a taxi. The taxi never appeared.

recently i was almost a victim.
Booked a taxi in the morning like about 8am. Cuz got meeting at 9am.
It was raining also and i waited at my house for 15min also taxi never come...say what ....your taxi will arrive in 6-9 min! my HEAD!
tHEN about 8:20am i peck chek liao as meeting soon, so walked out all the way to the main road and try to hail a cab in the rain, was carrying umbrella.
Then wait and wait, and got traffic jam near my place some more....
At about 8:35am, i saw a taxi came, and it was my taxi no. which i booked. Then i got in and ask him why he so slow, he complained that it is raining and got morning traffic jam......i retorted that he should at least give me a call to tell me he will be late! (35min later then reached), so that i know.....

i booked 1 taxi, 3 came.

my taxi was late then he call me to inform me that he will be arriving soon

whoa.. i didnt know cabbies will call the customer if they late or what.. first time hearing this.. cant blame me when i only booked 3 taxis in my life
Last time booked the taxi to go to Chinatown to take bus to malaysia, booked at 6am.. cabby came at 5.45am.. but my family dont want to wait, so we boarded and kanna chopped $20 liao ($5.20 booking fee + $4 midnite charge + $10 meter)
the next time i booked to go to Changi Airport, i asked cab to come at 6.05am

Next time if book Comfort taxis , if taxi never turn up within the 5-8 minutes time , call the 6552-1111 hotline , asked for a replacement cab , i'm sure you'll get one , unless ...... raining day , no taxis around that area .

if the cab you got never turn up , call the 6552-1111 , the operator will know you telephone number , and they'll trace and contact the taxi that u got , in the event that cabby got the wrong customer or what f*ck excuse , this cabby are going to be seriously dealt with , something like suspension from taking booking for a week or so .
Citycab also same , cabby cannot play play with bookings .
Other Taxi company i dunno , but ComfortDelgro cabbies know how serious if we never turn up for a booking job . -

When you call CityCab , to book a cab , they make you wait .... wait and wait ..... a long time no response from a cab , you pek chek hang up , as usual .
But wait ...... you hang up doesn't mean the line hang up , the line still on , and that Citycab cabby will bid for the job , and got the job , and sent the ETA to you , but here ..... you already hang up , not knowing whether got on or not .
By the time , u already got a Comfort cab and it's on the way , suddenly your phone ring , it's from that poor Citycab driver , still waiting for you at your requested pick-up point ! -

Comfort will only give cabby a job in the perimeter of 3 km from the customer's calling point !

when you put the on-call sign, i dun think customers will still get on the cab as what you say. -

CityCab booking system like not very good.. last time i advanced book a CityCab cab from Seletar to Changi Airport, i called at 8pm+ 2 days advance. The woman after a while said "no cab has responded, maybe you can try calling 5 minutes later". me very suprised.. btw, are STTA taxis (those yellow and black wordless taxis) able to radio and accept bookings? i heard they are a bit related to Comfort
