ooo. No strings attached? Wow no more nite rider for meOriginally posted by Poolman:That's not the main news .
The main news is , commuters can get a full refund of the taxi fare in 7 working days if they felt that particular SMRT cabby service no good .
No la , they are white ... or rather biege ? With a simple red SMRT's logo on the front door .Originally posted by Aveme:oh is SMRT cab the one which is black with yellow top version?
From the service perspective , it's a okay move , but again , there'll be side effect ..... and this side effect is quite "lethal" , more SMRT cabby will jump ship to another taxi company , thus they'll have more un-hired taxi lying in the back-yard .Originally posted by shade343:I applaude SMRT proactive initiative. This is a step in the right direction to raise service standards in singapore.
The black with yellow top version is called STTA = Singapore Taxi Transport Assn.Originally posted by Aveme:oh is SMRT cab the one which is black with yellow top version?

Why should the cabbies jump ship? In fact, more cabbies will sign on with SMRT. SMRT new initiative will encourage taxi drivers to adopt a Pro customer service attitude. Commuters who ride with SMRT will definitely remember the service they had and will, next time, flag down SMRT cabs.Originally posted by Poolman:From the service perspective , it's a okay move , but again , there'll be side effect ..... and this side effect is quite "lethal" , more SMRT cabby will jump ship to another taxi company , thus they'll have more un-hired taxi lying in the back-yard .
One taxi per day $92 , 10 days $920 , 30 days $2760 ...... 100 taxis $276, 000 they lost per month ! That's 100 only estimation .
I predict they have more than 500 taxis lying untouched ! That's about $1.38 million lying in their backyard per month ! In one year they lost $13.8 million in revenue .
Wow , whose money ?
Well, we need to change that. And SMRT is trying to change the mentality with this new initiative.Originally posted by AF2005:singaporeans are never good tippers and thus the complaints will go up for free ride.
here, taxi drivers are never use to tipping from local except from ang mo.
