These taxi house are operated by NTUC Comfort. Cabbies may enter them for a rest or a chat with other cabbies which are present in the house. in 2002, Cabbies can go to these house to collect a SARS relief package.
anyone knows of anymore of these taxi houses?
Well where is the location of that taxi house featured in the pictures?

In front of the house, about 4 to 6 parking lots are reserved for taxis with the words "NTUC COMFORT" painted

Health Promotion Board Taxi Stand
Here are the pictures of taxi stand outside the Health Promotion Board.
Usually there would be some passengers taking cabs from here, since this building is has many other organisations/clinics operating from this building (i.e SingHealth polyclinics, School Health Service, Child Guidance Clinic, KKH Child Development Unit, Healthzone, Health Information Centre....etc) and not just the HPB itself.
However, I have noticed that most of the potential passengers there would leave the HPB by bus (HPB is just next to New Bridge Road Bus Terminus) or train (HPB is just next to OTP MRT)

Causeway Point, Woodlands
Here are the pictures of taxi stands outside Causeway Point, Woodlands.
As the largest shopping mall in northern Singapore's regional centre, this particular taxi stand enjoys a very large flow of passengers and taxis.
As seen in the pictures, usually there would be lots of passengers waiting for taxis outside the Causeway Point Shopping Mall.

Theres taxi kiosks at Holland Drive, Changi Village, Ang Mo Kio, Ulu Pandan and Ghim Moh Road.

The Paragon, Bideford Road of Orchard Road Shopping Belt
The photos below features the taxi stand outside the Paragon.
The Paragon is a large shopping mall with lots of shoppers. And so, at any given time (provided that it is in the shopping mall's opening hours) there are lots of potential passengers waiting for taxis outside the Paragon.

Today is my birthday.
And so I would like to share with everyone here, my picture of the taxi stand outside Tanjung Pagar (Singapore) Railway Station.
Usually when there are trains arriving and departing (abt 3hrs between each train arrivals/departures) there would be lots of train passengers using taxis.

But for some unknown reasons this particular taxi stand was cluttered with cars and taxis of some sort.............
And so the taxis can only wait at the path that is very far from the covered walkway.........that is why this place can actually be mistaken for car park........
FYI...there is actually a very large car park (but requires parking fee) right in front of Tanjung Pagar KTM Railway station......
And so maybe due to motorists' laziness (or unwillingness to pay $$$) hence they chose to "park" their vehicles at this particular taxi stand which was not meant for parking of vehicles! -
yeah, the taxi stand is actually a long stretch, but no one bothers, so it becomes a taxi-park, and car-park. no real Queues really.. -

Taxi stand at Woodlands MRT (Woodlands Square near to Woodlands Ave 3)
with immediate effect, all photos taken by me (using my camera) and posted by me in online forums would carry the signature tag of "Singapore Transport Net", due to the opening of the (temporary site of) Singapore Transport Net @ http://spaces.msn.com/yuenshekngai. The change would standardize the signature tags used on my photos.

Woodlands Train Checkpoint
This taxi stand serves the following types of passengers mainly:
1) Walk - ins from Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
2) KTM train passengers who chose to disembark the train at Woodlands (NOTE: this option is only available to passengers of Singapore-bound trains)
Sometimes, as shown in the first picture, there may have only one cab waiting (some others may have gone down to Tanjung Pagar from Woodlands after seeing the train at Woodlands)
Other times, especially when a Singapore-bound train arrived at Woodlands, there may have lots of taxis waiting for train passengers.
Note that the train shown to the left of the first picture is bound for Singapore.
