You guys should , really !
No harm taking one from cabby , you'll never know !
Why take receipt ?
1.Receipt got taxi company and taxi number
2.Receipt got date/time on-board and date/time off-board
3.Receipt got actually price break-down
4.Receipt got kilometre travelled
5.Receipt got Lost & Found telephone number
The most important thing receipt can do is " Lost & Found " , if you lost handphone or stuff , with taxi number u can trace the taxi driver in no time , very fast , with those satellite transmission system .
Secondly , wanna complaint about longer distant the cabby took ? The receipt got state km travelled , cabby cannot escape .
Thirdly , suspicious about cabby over charge ? Receipt got break down , driver anyhow whack cure kena !
So next time take taxi , ask for a receipt , you'll never know what this little piece of paper can do .

I brought up his issue here cos just now got one customer drop her handphone inside a cab , when i wanted to help , she dont' seem to know anything .
I asked her : " What company you took ? " Answer: Forgot
I asked her : " What colur the taxi ? " Answer : Think it's white
I asked her : " When you flag the taxi , on top the roof top is LED or Blue ? " Answer : Never aware !
I asked her : " When u take the taxi , infront the taxi got any thing like a TV or not ? Answer : Got !
Then it must be a Comfort or Citycab or Smart Cab la or SMRT la , what color actually the taxi ? Can't remember !

the taxi receipt is the cabby use hand to write out one? (saw a hand-written receipt years ago)
or is it cabby just press button and it comes out automatically? most of the time just paid up the fare and alighted.. never wanted to drag too long when alighting.. later vehicles behind start to horn -

few second nia...you can get the receipt when the driver hands you your change -
Now all printed one , if got dispute go court , printed one got effect , written one Judge not convince

hand written also got driver abuse , like customer want to amend the time la , the price la .... the date la ...... -

we take receipts, then later cabby think he done something wrong and thinks we want receipt to complain about him.. doesnt makes everyone comfortable sometimes

I take when I need to claim taxi fare. Other than that, don't bother..
