How is the meter goin? WTH!

  Today i took a comfort taxi i tink...den the meter was like haiz.. last time its like
  
  1 km den 10 cents but i see the meter jump damn fast lor.. and i look at the side
  
  of the window and it says 250m 10 cents..den i was like ok lar..still can but when
  
  i look at meter..it was like less than 100m den the meter move already..My
  
  question is..SHOULD IT BE THAT FAST?! Advice pls!

  every 30 seconds of waiting or less is 10cts
  
  i think if the cab is travelling at REAL SLOW speed oso every 30seconds 10cts

  The meter will jump 10 cents every 25 seconds irregardless. It's not about how far you travel, its how fast you do it.

  haha..when i counted it was like 25 sec or lesser oso..tats really damn fast..but got some still reasonable 1..their meter doesnt jump so quickly like others

  The taxi driver is not obliged to drive fast. If he crashes his taxi halfway, the taxi driver will be in deep shit.

  instead its the 2.40 flag price they r earnin...
  
  so its logical dat they r tinkin of pickin up more customers in the shortest possible time n nt takin their own sweet time ferryin a customer to his/her destination...

  if it's 10cents/250m, then i think it will jump real fast!!!!
  
  let's say he's on highway, going at 90km/hr.
  which means he goes 1500m every minute.(90000m/60=1500)
  and he goes 25m every second.(1500m/60=25m)
  
  so, for 250m, will takes him 10seconds.
  
  which means if he's going 90km/hr on highway, the meter jump every 10 seconds!!!!!!!!!!!!! wat the hell, that's fast!!!!

  flagdown = $2.40 = 1km.
  
  But say flag already, move 50m, red light 40seconds.. how they count? $2.60 already?
  
  10c/225 metres: taxi moved to the 100th meter, stop at red light 26 seconds.. how to count? counted as 30c?
