Not all la .... most would want to take booking , more bookings , more money . -
They should have all the drivers on booking system instead of driving aimlessly around looking for customer.
Can save petrol and most importantly, time. -
Hmm , i was wondering why people like to call Comfort Taxis...and not the others , i think maybe Comfort is the cheapest

i use 2 fones and call comfort and citycab concurrently oso have to keep waiting and waiting and waiting........... -

Time has changed , Singaporean's mindset had changed .
Taking taxis is like a "brand" , calling and booking a taxi is also like a branded stuff ....
All thanks to the "Speed-Call" technology ,and also thanks to so many people owning a handphone , making them so convenient to dial for a cab .
All thanks to LTA too , for not approving the increase in the flag-down price from taxi companies .
Never increase the flag down prices had "force" cabbies to take more bookings to cover for the hike in the diesel prices .
Normal flag down not enough for cabbies to cover diesel , rental and salary in those short period of time . -

This number quite effective , cater for "loyal" , "frequent caller" , "everyday must book " customers . -
yeah. now like a bit hard to book a cab. need to call a few time sor wait for quite a while.
longer distances higher chance of getting a cab
on the other hand.. at 6pm (peak hour!) saw about 5 cabs Q at empty taxi stand at AMK Central. Why dont they go grab some bookings? -
Longer distance higher chance ? For some drivers , one like me , i would prefer the shorter the better , meaning that if i slight this current customer , the next one also one booking one , which mean $2.40 + $4.00 + $1 if peak period in a shorter time .Originally posted by 105090:

One example : From Suntec to Simei ...... total fare $16.00 , 30 minutes . If i Take a booking from Suntec to River Valley , total fare $9.00 , 10 minues , i can take another booking one from Orchard to maybe telok Blangah , $10.00 , 15 minutes , total 2 trips $19 , 25 minutes . I still around town . Ready for another booking .
