Automatic doors

Why cant the doors "automatically open" especially when i am carrying groceries

i kena hit a few times by the automatic doors
sometimes i tot the cabbie will open, and he no open
when i want to open myself, the cabbie open for me, the door swing out and hit my stomach

I always notice this on Citycab taxis... -
For me , if the customer is near the door , i let her open themself .
If the customer is quite a safe distance away , then i happy , i open , i buay song , she DIY !
My advice to commuters in Singapore , Singapore culture no auto open , it's better to open yourself . It's a natural thing ! -
