Friendly Taxi Drivers

so many negative flames on customer and drivers.. something positive for once.
juz now i take taxi the uncle very funny and friendly. middle age or above. he ask me got eat dinner anot, wan makan kantang bread or something. i ate le so i say no thanks. den he met some lorry with indians he gave one of the guy eat den chatted abit on the road when red light.
den he tok tok tok to me about traffic police and their hot gadets to catch speeding den gimme sweet eat. i took 1 den he say take 2, so i took 2 and ate one. very interesting fellow, i went out is those ulu ulu hour one, den he drove u turn to pick me up on the opposite side of the road, so nice. unlike ppl who juz drove by, choose customers, etc. i think he juz started his shift or something.
after he dropped me, he almost immediately got another customer, he like very proactive in getting customers one, asking the lady in front wanna take cab anot. den she went in.
i hope he gets more customers and live longer.

but somehow i think i meet the black sheep more often

my last trip jb the driver oso very nice and friendly. it was raining den she nice nice park by the road so we go in. the malay lady driver told us about this and that, how to go, where to go, wad cab fare to expect and demand, etc etc. and never overcharge us, cuz i got go same route many times.
i remember she say singaporeans like to go dunnoe wad place for seafood de, she dun like cuz there got hygiene problem. she say we like to go there eat, but often forget about cleanliness, so told us becareful, etc. forgot alot of details le. -

You must be one chatty fella , and you certainly knows how to do a good "ice-breaking" job , trust me , it's you who makes the first move to talk to cabby , and cabby responded to you , cos you're nice .
I am not a bad fella , if one nice customer does talk to me nicely , i can really talk to him/her nicely , it's a both party thing .
If you come in the cab , and scream , and say things like :" I stand there 30 minutes , no taxi , i called , 3 minute you're here . " then lim peh kan also mai ker kan lu . -

but i dun guai lan with cabbie. he say go this way, i wld cheerfully say ok. i trust my cabbie. -

Nowadays those youngsters driving cabs dont seem to be friendly. The 50+ 60+ ones more friendly

We were train in a more practical ways , like we can only chat with customers if the customer makes the first move to chat , or else , we were encourage to keep our mouth shut .
Younger drivers care more about getting more customers , and more money .
Senior drivers they already have plenty of money , they drive taxi for past time , of course they can slowly drive , slowly drive and talk lor , us ? Where got time ? we're more concern about the next destination we are heading for more money after you alight !
That's why u see younger drivers drives faster , but not speeding . -

Sometimes we can judge a customer base on their body language , and facial expression .
Now you know why cabbies is nice to you , i think you have a decent facial expression , not kuai lan type .
If more customers are like you , Tian Xia Tai Pin !
