Cabby bullied elderly passenger, then dumped her at bus stop

I WISH to relate a nasty experience suffered by my 73-year-old mother in Yishun on July 9 at almost noon.
That day, it rained heavily. My mum and her maid were waiting to hail a taxi to get them home after they visited the wet market in Chong Pang. After a long wait, they managed to stop Trans-Cab SHB 7546 R. My mum told the driver her destination as well as the route to take (she takes that route regularly by taxi). Almost immediately, the driver scolded her, saying in Hokkien: 'Who's the taxi driver? You or me? You people always think you're so smart.'
After the scolding, instead of taking the route given, he deliberately took a different and longer route, I suppose to bully the elderly woman into paying a higher fare.
But the worst was to come. A moment later, still in Yishun, he took a booking and conveniently dumped my mum and her maid at the nearest bus stop. He even collected $3 and told my mum to take another taxi! I have confirmed with Trans-Cab booking staff that the driver did take that Yishun booking.
The experience traumatised my mum so much, she refused to take a taxi again. Besides being elderly, she had knee replacement surgery just a few months ago and has a serious heart condition.

This TransCab driver deserve to be shot , really , serious ! My opinion .
Must complaint .... he black sheep , tarnishing our good cabby images !

Go take TransCab la .....
Many TransCab drivers are ex-CityCab drivers , they very pai-kia one , ya-ya kapala one .
I once myself take a TransCab , i also nearly hammer him , really !
Sunday night , i not driving , my son sick , go clinic no rain , after seeing doctor , rain , so i took cab home , from near Lot-1 , lot-1 to my place , walk 10 minutes reach liao , but rain ma , my son also sick , so i took cab .... this kan ni na cabby , once heard my destination , immediately said : " hey , pay me small change ar ? I no small change !
Okay lor , small change ..... reached my place $3.20 , i pay $5 , he yelled again :"i told you small change ! "
I said :" $5 small change ma , what you want ? Not $50 "
He twist his word like roti-prata : " I said exact change ! "
I tu-lan liao , i hate people peng-way , so say back in hokkien : " Tou eh , mai talk so loud and just give me back the change , i also drive taxi , don't make me difficult ! "
Think he hinting me to pay him $5 , keep the change , lan chiao !
He lan lan pay me $1.80 and 'f*ckoff .
Kan ni na , transcab drivers .
I quite anti-transCab .
They like beggar , drive like beggar , looked like beggar , think like beggar , act like beggar ...... always fond of cutting into your lane to pick road side customers .
We Comfort relax one , you want u take , anyway we also not interested !
Our booking so busy liao , where got time to rush for street customers like them ? -

Ok to be fair, don't judge all taxis driver just by some idiots you've met or heard so far. When u meet nasty driver you whack hard but how many will praise or be thankful when they met good drivers???Don't tell me you never met some good cabbies on the road
I remember my 1st theory lesson in my taxi course. The instructor from LTA mention the following.
If you want to be a taxi driver, you must endure. As long you r a taxi driver, you will probably be targeted by general feedback.
Example. When a passenger car stop by the road side, nobody give a shit but when a taxi stop by the road side, you'll propably get horn. So..must endure
Listen, be it bus-driver or Taxi-driver, we are all equal compare to you. Afterall they are earning a living, just like you. So pls don't target taxis driver blindly.

this is the 2nd case i heard about cabbies traumatising elderly liao.... knn those black sheep y i nvr kena this kind of driver b4 1... that fuker sure kena hantam by me lor.
next day news : Man brutaly smashed taxi driver to steering wheel causing his face to be deformed permanantly. Man was not charge as there is withness to the incident that the driver taunted the man forcing him to lay hands on him. Driver fined for slandering and driver license was revoked.

That day I took trans cab. From Woodlands to Tanjung Pagar. Lady driver.
Normally my cost will be about $12-$13 max.
But the auntie instead of taking PIE, she just took AYE.
So far la. End up paying $19
I kena bully...

campboy next time board liao tell the auntie take the route u want lor. if u also kena scold by the auntie then tell her stop the taxi get off and dun pay.
or better still. whenever u board a trans cab taxi start ur HP camera and take at the driver then tell ur destination u wana go and then the route. if kena scold use that as proof. -
Transcab has a lot of cabbies who have either an attitude problem or are directional idiots.

piangz... after reading this post i tink i better not take transcab. thank goodness that the cabs i take usually comfort or citycab.
i quite like the green color cabs, so far the drivers have been nice. sadly not many greens on the road. -

Problem in the taxi industry is, if driver was terminated by the company, those drivers can always jump to another smaller company. We have white, green, silver, red etc....But how long can they last?????
Just be tactful if you happens to board a taxi driven by nasty driver. Stay cool be friendly & whack your feedback to LTA & their company. Like 1 member suggested, use your phone video camera to record the journey -

I did ask her to take the nearest route la. Maybe its partly my fault. But i know AYE is not the nearest route. Then i ask her, why she take AYE, she tell me nicely, she is a cabby and she knows the route well. PIE got jam she say.
I mean... I cant be angry to a old woman right?... She bully me by saying nicely to me... -

.....that is being ditched by others.........
and where had his conscience gone to? is "being elderly" the vaild reason for the cabby to bully the passenger?
clearly this cabby is very shameless!
