U dun complain next time other people will get this kinda treatment. And lastly , he's might be an old chap , he might not know where's Bugis , but when you say " Tua Poh " or " Sway Poh " , he might know where !
Tua Poh ? Hokkien translation as in " Big Slope " things like that !
Sway Poh = "xiao po" in mandarin (or "xiu bo" in cantonese dialect) = smaller part of Singapore city centre (Bugis area)
Mostly used by old folks, although I as a youngster also know about this from my parents.
Maybe some sort of taxi jargons again................. -

They driving FAST to a JUNCTION then they SUDDENLY ASK YOU "Which way you wanna go by...??"
When you suddenly look up and see where you are, then the driver would go...
(imaginary) "DEH. TIME'S UP!"
He already crossed the junction and chose his 'path'....
When you QUESTION HIM, he'll tell you... "I ASKED YOU BUT YOU NEVER SAY...."
