There will be 1,200 limousines taxis on hand to chaffeur IMF/World Bank delegates to and from the airport, besides the 545 chartered BMW 7-, 5-, 3- series cars.
More than half are Mercedes Benz E-Class (E220CDI and E220NGT) and Mercedes Vito (Maxi Cab).
E220CDI is diesel powered (operated by ComfortDelgro, SMRT and Premier Taxis)
E220NGT is bi-fuel, using diesel and natural gas. (operated by SMART)
The Vitos are operated by ComfortDelgro.
the remaining limo cabs are made up of Skoda Superb taxis (150 units, operated by SMART),
and another 100 units of Volkswagen Touran TDI MPVs, and the few London Cabs.
The limo cabbies will be paid $32 a trip to/from the airport. About 200 to 400 limo taxis will be available at the Changi Airport every hour
