Should our Taxis have a standard colour?

Like in Taiwan and New York, all of their taxis are yellow coloured. This will enable tourists as well as commuters to spot them easily from miles away, thus cutting down on abrupt flaggings. As for identity for different companies, perhaps a top half yellow and bottom half company colour should suffice? What do you guys think?

now theres so many models of taxis, so many companies, so many colours!
for example, SMART has green and white, Silvercab has Silver and White etc etc
cut down on colours and models
and maybe livery should be more plain and the word TAXI should be bigger -

i always like to ask my colleagues, u call taxi ah? u call wat color one? (instead of asking call which company one)
so the replies can be yellow (citycab), blue (comfort), silver (premier), red (transcab), green (smart), white (smrt)
they have the sign thing on top, very easy to recognise wat.......... -
Y must follow other countries leh? Let other countries follow us cannot ah?

The green colour 1 is disgusting.
Others still ok -
agree it must be striking color like pink or yellow so we can spot from far
